Creating A No Deal Delivery Plan
With the likelihood of a “no deal Brexit” increasingly likely, this Enterprise level risk needs a clear mitigation plan. Of the 250k UK businesses that trade directly with the EU only 100k have an Economic Operator Registration and Identification number (EORI), without which you will not be able to trade with EU – either inbound or outbound.
Most companies appear to be taking a “wait and see” approach, but can you afford to take that risk and join the mass panic all pulling on the same resources if no deal starts to become a reality?
Iter is a specialist supply chain consultancy working with manufacturing organisations to maximise the value and competitive advantage derived from their supply and value chains. We have the experience and knowledge to create a delivery plan that can be implemented in a few weeks should it be required.
In creating the plan we can:
- Understand the likely impact on your business. Analysing your current cross border flows using our structured data analysis approach, we will quantify the scale and nature of the risk and define the import/export duties that a no deal Brexit will have on your business
- Obtain an EORI number. Our experience of supporting clients in registering will ensure that you are protected and able to continue trading after a “no deal” Brexit
- Line up Import/Export Brokers. If you need to use brokers to complete the import/export documentation process we will guide these discussions, introduce brokers to you, supporting your decision making and ensure that the requirements are correctly defined should they be required
- Design internal processes and procedures. The final part of the jigsaw is to understand the changes that will need to take place in your organisation and we will support you in the definition of these processes and procedures so that they can quickly and effectively be put in place should they be required
Iter has the expertise and an affordable, structured approach that will allow you to develop your plan and be ready to go should a no deal Brexit become a reality. One thing is for sure, if they are required, being ready to go will be a massive advantage.
